Gas Station while gathering evidence
following a Saturday morning shooting
where the department says an officer
fired a single shot and hit the driver
of this Ford Tempo in the leg.

Police say they pulled the car
over after receiving information the
vehicle had recently been carjacked at
gunpoint.

THE COMMANDS AND REACHED UNDER THE
FRONT SEAT OF THE VEHICLE.

year-old Chauncey Wade of Roanoke tried
to flee and put the car in reverse.

And in the process, hit three
officers and momentarily pinned one

between two vehicles.

A police cruiser brought the
driver to a halt by striking the car
before he could escape.

Officers didn't find a weapon
inside the Tempo but did retrieve nine
bags of crack cocaine.

Michael Witkowski was in area and
heard the gunfire.

Boulevard but that the owner had traded
it in a drug deal.

are trying to identify a woman who they
say was murdered.

A passer-by noticed the black
female lying near a drive-way on Ashton
Hall Road around 7:30 this morning.

Neighbors say they heard a gun
shot around one A-M followed by a loud
vehicle driving away.

Authorities are hoping you can
help them name the victim.

Again, she's African American,
between 30 to 40 years old about 105

pounds or less.

She's about 5' - 5 with black
hair and has a scar on her lower right
shin.

But the Big Otter Mill is still a
lively place in the minds of those who
remember it as a booming business.

Burnett have formed a foundation to
preserve the mill.

Piece by piece, they're hoping to
reproduce the original mill and re-open
it as a tourist attraction - and a
teaching tool.

to come in on tours on a limited basis
during the year and actually see the

already raised more than $3,000, but

incident turned scary for several
passengers onboard a Cleveland City
bus.

Kyle Busch for the win in dramatic

Friday. Kenny Wallace had some
heartburn after this incident. He cuts
a tire and then gets t-boned by David
Reutimann to bring out the caution.

Then with just 21 to go, Jamie
McMurray loses the handle, rides the
merry go round, but manages to avoid
hitting anybody and that's a good thing
at Daytona.

In the end, Kyle Busch held off
Kevin Harvick and Dave Blaney for the
checkered flag, grabbing his first win
of the season and first at Daytona,
before retreating to the motorhome to
get some rest.
