Gas Station while gathering evidence
following a Saturday morning shooting
where the department says an officer
fired a single shot and hit the driver
of this Ford Tempo in the leg.

Police say they pulled the car
over after receiving information the
vehicle had recently been carjacked at
gunpoint.

year-old Chauncey Wade of Roanoke tried
to flee and put the car in reverse.

And in the process, hit three
officers and momentarily pinned one
between two vehicles.

A police cruiser brought the
driver to a halt by striking the car
before he could escape.

Officers didn't find a weapon
inside the Tempo but did retrieve nine
bags of crack cocaine.

Michael Witkowski was in area and
heard the gunfire.

Boulevard but that the owner had traded
it in a drug deal.

Hospital where he is being treated for
his gunshot wound.

His condition is not being
released.

As for the officers, two are on
administrative leave for the weekend.

The other who fired the shot is
on routine leave while the matter is
being investigated.

spent the morning investigating a
murder and they still have no idea who
the victim is.

A passer-by noticed the black
female lying near a drive-way on Ashton
Hall Road around 7:30 this morning.

Neighbors say they did hear a gun
shot around one this morning followed
by a loud vehicle driving away.

Authorities are hoping you can
help them out...

Again the victim is an African

American female, between 30 to 40
years old about 105 pounds or less.

She's about 5' - 5 with black
hair and has a right scar on her lower
right shin.

remember it as a booming business.

Salt Lake City, Utah Mayor Rocky
Anderson has instituted a new policy
banning city employees from drinking
bottled water.

He wants employees to use
refillable plastic bottles instead of

Already some city officials are

pointing out this new policy will
negatively impact firefighters who
can't stop in the middle of an
emergency situation to fill up their
water bottle.

The mayor says he's not pulling
