GRAPHIC=Fatal Accident A Lynchburg man was killed in car
accident last night near Route 460 and
Candler's Mountain Road.
Police say the driver,
28-year-old Jeremy Austin was thrown
from his Monte Carlo.
He later died at Lynchburg
General.
The passenger, 22-year-old
Melissa Hudson, was also taken to the
hospital.

a Marine Base never made it.
Their car ran off Interstate 77
yesterday morning.

Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department The wreck took place around 8:30
near mile marker 17 in Carroll County.
According to police....the driver
fell asleep at the wheel, ran up an
embankment and flipped the car.
The men were en route back to
Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
Their conditions are unknown at
this time.

GRAPHIC=Accident (Motorcycle) A motorcyle accident in
Blacksburg last night left one man
injured.
It happened at around 8:15 in the
1200 block of Harding Avenue.
Police say 43-year-old Mark Allen
Gibson of Missouri was traveling
eastbound when he lost control of his
motorcycle, and struck two large trees.
He was found unresponsive at the
scene and taken to a Roanoke hospital
with multiple injuries.
The accident is still under
investigation.

car hit a bull.

night when it plowed into the Black
Angus. Witnesses say the
bull rolled onto the hood and into the
front window before running off into
the field.

Authorities says the victim was
driving a jet ski when it crashed into
another one.

event has been held.

finally came to a end when police say
the woman stabbed the man.

around seven Saturday night.
Authorities arrested 27-year-old
Melissa Lynn Hancock of Danville.
She's charged with malicious

Lewis was a Navy SEAL based in

finalized for four-year-old Chance
Harman.
The little boy from Floyd County
had a rare malignant brain tumor and
lost his battle Friday.

nearly two decades and now Ruby the
Tiger lives on thanks to the talent of
a local artist.

Billy Martin, a longtime resident
of the Roanoke Valley snapped a number
of pictures of Ruby over the years.
Now in her death, he's painted a
lasting sketch of the Siberian.
Yesterday afternoon, Martin was
the featured guest at the Zoo's gift
shop handing out signed prints of his
work.
