The reason the logo looks a
little rough is that contemporary
artist Bill Patteson actually painted
it as the news conference was taking
place.

Sprint's acquisition of Nextel
for $35 billion in 2005 led to the
formation of Sprint Nextel
Corporporation and also to this name

change.

IRL Early in the road course race - :00 the red and white car driven by Sam
Hornish Junior swapped some paint and a
little tire rubber with the white car
driven by Tony Kanaan.

Both drivers would continue and
finish a very solid second and fourth
respectively.

But after the race, they were still
upset about the incident.

Hornish and Kanaan were in each
other's faces before Hornish's dad got
into the mix, and wisely pulled his son
away.

But then Mr. Hornish decided to
come back and shove Kanaan in the chest

with both hands.

Eventually the elder Hornish got
knocked to the ground - and a couple of
crew members on both sides got into a
scuffle.

The fight was basically
considered a draw, but Scott Dixon
clearly won the race.

And here's one better-- the bear got
stuck in a tree on a GOLF course in
Colorado.

Officials at the golf course shut down
the the 6th, 7th and 8th holes
yesterday morning to make sure the
players were safe.

The Division of Wildlife moved in and
shot the animal with a couple of
tranquilizer darts.

After a few minutes the bear lost
consciousness and fell out of the tree
and onto a tarp waiting for him below.

Wildlife officials then released the
bear back into the wild.
