two-thirds of the people in our viewing
area support red-light cameras.

VO-NAT Survey USA polled 500 people this week,
NO SUPER and 69 per cent told us the cameras are
a good idea. That's well over double
who think it is a bad one.
As for the red light cameras'
effectiveness, 54 per cent of those
polled say they will make intersections
safer, while 33 per cent believe they
will have no effect.

charged with the murder of a woman over
the weekend.

County this afternoon, creating thick
smoke through part of the Jefferson
National Forest.

The fire is burning about three
miles south of Glasgow. It started
early Monday morning and now covers
more than 200 acres.
Fire officials aren't sure, but
they think it was started by lightning.

are in the clear after recently
undergoing test for rabies.

confirmed both strays tested negative.
They were initially picked up
after a rabid cat attacked a person
late last month.

A fox attacked a dog early Friday
morning on Camp North Road.
The fox did test positive for
rabies.
It was shot and killed.

stretch for the founding family of
NASCAR.
Bill France, Junior died the
first week of June, and today the
husband of one of France's children was
killed a plane crash just north of
Orlando.

Dr. Bruce Kennedy, a plastic
surgeon, was a passenger on a small
plane that crashed into a neighborhood
while trying to make an emergency
landing this morning. Five people were
killed and the crash started two house
fires that seriously burned three
others.

Kennedy, the International Speedway
Corporation executive who represented
ISC during the sale of the Martinsville
Speedway in 2004.
