Diehl-Armstrong has been linked to the
crime since the man she killed was
found in a home near the place Wells
was called to deliver his last pizza.
That location turned out to be a TV
tower and after that details are
sketchy.
(AP photos)
Somehow Wells wound up with a collar
bomb around his neck while he robbed an
Erie bank carrying a gun shaped like a
cane. Police quickly caught him, but
never got a chance to question him.
Natz full with chyron. he pulled a key
and started a timer; I heard the thing
ticking when he did. It is going to go
off.
After Wells died, police were left with
the unusual gun, a rambling nine page

mechanism.
But even with the cluesno arrests were
ever made. And while Wells' family has
claimed all along he was an innocent
victimpolice have never said that. It
s
a question that may soon be answered.

in his home ball park when he was
introduced.
The standing ovation lasted well over

Competition Video This video showing a Homer Simpson
lookalike chasing a big pink doughnut
through Springfield, Vermont convinced
the voters.
Vermont's Springfield has a bowling
alley, a pub, a prison and a nuclear
power plant just down the road.
Vermont's Governor Jim Douglas told
all the other Springfields that lost to
quote, 'Don't have a cow, man."'
According to U-S-A Today, which ran
the vote on its Web site, the 13 other
Springfields will be given small
screenings of their own the night
before the movie opens nationwide July
27th.
