They were located at mall
entrances where they were there to
explain the new rule.
We also saw some guards checking
ID's because the new rule is after six
on Fridays and Saturdays...kids under

And many young people aren't too
happy with the idea.

Mustang at the Elm exit of 581.
Wimmer was thrown from the
motorcycle.
He was taken to Roanoke Memorial

The driver of the mustang was not

run from police.

20-year-old Kevin Michael Buorkan
(byour-kin) was found guilty in
district court today for traveling
160-miles an hour on Interstate 81 back
in April.
Police say the chase started at
milemarker 134 near Salem and did not
end until Buorkan crashed at exit 162
in Botetourt County.
He plead no contest to reckless
driving and driving without a
motorcycle license.
A judge threw the book at him -
giving him the maximum sentence
allowed: 12-months in jail, a
25-hundred dollar fine plus court costs
and a six-month suspended license

hospital this afternoon after several
cars crashed in Roanoke.

o'clock on Gus Nicks Boulevard in front
of Thrasher Park.
Roanoke Police say a flatbed
truck heading southbound rear-ended a
gray van, which then rear- ended
another vehicle.
The van flipped over on its side,

In all, four people were taken to
the hospital with what is described as
NON- life- threatening injuries.

a fight in Altavista this morning.

three homes tonight -- after someone
accidentally tore the gas meter from
the side of their house.

block of Maplelawn Avenue just off of
Williamson road a little after nine
o'clock.
A battalion chief says they
evacuated the houses nearby just as a
precautionary measure.
They were only outside for about
15 minutes before the gas company was
able to stop the leak.
