Roanoke Valley Match Play Baber advanced to the final by
:00 beating Chad Young 2-up in this
morning's semifinal round.
Wade was busy taking out Tim Cone
with a 2 and 1 win.
The two were all square thru 9
this afternoon, but Baber ran into
trouble at the par 3 11th hole, after
finding the bunker off the tee.
Wade then ran this putt in for
a bogey to go 1-up with 7 holes left.
Then at 12, Baber found the
trees on his tee shot, while Wade had
this putt for an eagle. The youngster
puts it close and that was conceeded
for a birdie and a two hole advantage.
Wade went on to win it 3 and
2 recording his first victory in the
tournament, while denying Baber a
repeat championship.

Versus Today's 8th stage of the Tour de
:00 France was marred by several big
crashes, as the riders endured a second
straight grueling day thru the Alps.
Denmark's Michael Rasmussen
avoided all the trouble and won the
stage to take the overall lead.
The event's best climber each of
the past two years earned the third
Tour stage victory of his career.
Rasmussen crossed the finish line
alone on the 102-mile course, featuring
three tough Category One climbs and an
uphill finish.
He now has a 43-second lead over
Germany's Linus Gerdemann.
