the Radford Foundry has died.

Wednesday A spokesperson with the U-V-A
burn center confirmed 24-year-old
Christopher Goad passed away this
weekend.
He along with his
stepfather....Stephen Bakaitis were
taken to UVA with burns on well over 60
percent of their bodies.
Bakaitis is still listed in
serious condition.
The two admitted to trying to
steal cooper from the Foundry Wednesday
night.

GRAPHIC=Crime, generic A judge has sentenced a Roanoke-
area woman to probation after she
pleaded no contest to a charge of
attempting to infect someone with
H-I-V.
That's from the Associated Press.
According to Assistant Roanoke
Commonwealth's Attorney Bill Braxton,
38-year-old Lisa Sarah Taylor was
drinking a beer on a street corner in
April when she try to solicit three
police detectives driving by, offering
them sex.
Taylor was arrested on
prostitution charges and later admitted
she was a carrier of the H-I-V virus.

facing capital murder charges, will be
back in court this morning.

September trial and move it out of
Montgomery County.
Morva escaped police custody last
August and sparked a 37 hour manhunt,
which shutdown the Virginia Tech campus
on the first day of classes.
He's accused of killing security
guard Derrick McFarland and Sheriff's
Deputy Corporal Eric Sutphin.
If convicted, Morva faces the
death penalty.

The former Virginia State Police
superintendent elaborated by adding
that the report which is due in
mid-August will contain some criticism
and guidance for future situations.
The panel has one more scheduled
public meeting set for Wednesday in
Charlottesville before meeting in
closed session Thursday to summarize
all of the data.

police pursuit early Saturday morning.

Bedford County Deputies were in
pursuit of Justin Ryan Smith of Forest
on Bellevue Rd.
Smith eventually lost control of
his Chevy Blazer, and ran off the right
side of the road.
He hit a tree and was ejected.
He was not wearing his seatbelt.
The 20-year-old was pronounced
dead at the scene.
Kim Fields heard the crash from
her house.
