federal charges stemming from a
dogfighting operation from property he
owned in Surry County.

fights that Vick or other members of
his Bad Newz Kennels operation are
alleged to have either taken part in or
attended between 2002 and early 2007.
According to the indictment, when the
dogs performed badly either in the ring

Both those players had multipe run-ins
with the law.

transgressions in the past with the
Water Bottle incident at the Miami
Airport as well as being sued by a
woman for giving her Herpes. Michael
Vick has never been convicted of a
crime. So he is not in the same

Goodell not needing a conviction to
suspend a player as laid out by the
N-F-L's Code of Conduct, he may hand
down a suspension before the season

Racing News where Michael Waltrip and
Toyota have struggled mightily in their
first Nextel Cup season together. So
Waltrip won't be behind the wheel when
the circuit heads to Indianapolis next
week.

VO-NAT Terry Labonte will replace him at
the Brickyard.
Labonte, a two-time NASCAR
champion, will drive the Number 55
Toyota and be assured of a spot in the
field based on his status as a former
champion.
Waltrip has struggled to make
races this season, his first as a
full-time owner and driver. He's
qualified for just four of 19
events, and has turned to Labonte to
get a car in the field.
Labonte drove the Number 55 for
Waltrip in Sonoma and finished 35th on
the road course. He's also scheduled to
drive next month at Watkins Glen.
Labonte has 11 starts at The
Brickyard, with a career-best
finish of third in 1996.

race.
Vasseur narrowly outsprinted four
other riders in a breakaway
group that had ridden ahead of the main

hold the overall lead in the world's
biggest cycling event. He wears the
yellow jersey as the owner of a 2
minute, 35 second cushion.
