indict Vick has recently been changed.
It now carries far stronger penalties.
We warn you the some people may
find the next video disturbing.

NO SUPER activity that under federal law used to
be a misdemeanor.
But as of May, crossing state
lines for dogfighting purposes has been
upgraded to a felony offense.
But prosecutors are also charging
Vick with dogfighting under another law
called the "Travel Act". It deals with
many interstate activities and goes
back to the 19-60's.
Under the "Travel Act", the
maximum prison sentence is five years
and 250 thousand dollars.

High School could begin in a few weeks.

VO-NAT This morning, the Roanoke
County School Board approved a contract
for the work.
The cost was most recently
estimated at 24-million dollars.
The work will include
totally renovating the classrooms,
installing a new heating and air
conditioning system, updating the
hallways, as well as expanding the
cafeteria.
There will also be new
furniture, lighting, and improved
technology.
