SCAM BANNER** about a possible SCAM.
Thursday night officers responded
to a call in the Northwest region.
A 97-year-old woman said a man
CLAIMING he was from the "Western
Virginia Water Authority" asked to come
in.
She let him inside, and noticed
her purse was MISSING after he left.
Police say the man doesn't appear
to be an employee of the Water
Authority.
They believe he's a scam artist.
He's described as a middle aged
white male with a heavy build.

Liberty University certainly had the
Reverend Jerry Falwell's blessing.
The late Falwell envisioned
bottles of Liberty Mountain Natural
Spring Water being sold as novelty
items.
School officials say they plan to
sell it at the museum, the school's
visitor center and possibly at sporting
and church events.
Grand Springs bottling company

B.J. Hansen is 81 years old. The
former Wythe County administrator who
helped build and remodel several
community pools in southwest Virginia
