A car came crashing through the
front doors of "Sub Station Two"--
around 12:15


it's a busy sandwich shop at
lunchtime...

and people were startled when the
car burst through the front doors--but
luckily no one was hurt.

It caused about 25 grand in
damages.

The driver of the car Ethan
Wechtaluk Wek-ta-luck- who's 19.

He's from Blacksburg and has been
charged with reckless driving.

Police say he accidentally hit
the wrong foot pedal while trying to
park.

that start going in the mail tonight.

The refunds are the result
of the State Corporation Commission
denying APCO's requested 25 percent
increase.. and only agreeing to a 3.1
percent hike...

Appalachian had been charging the
higher rate for several months- which

is perfectly legal in Virginia.

The credits will appear as
three items: Electric Refund, Interest
and Tax Refund. The interest component
was calculated at a rate of 8 and a
quarter percent compounded quarterly.

This afternoon the Atlantic Coast
Media Members announced their preseason
picks for the upcoming season.

In the Coastal Division Virginia
Tech was the runaway selection to win
that side of the Conference.

The Hokies got 77 first place

votes compared to four for second place
Georgia Tech and two for third place
Miami. The Virginia Cavaliers were
picked fourth ahead of North Carolina
and Duke.

The Florida State Seminoles are
the pick to win it all in the Atlantic
Division.

Boston College and Clemson make
up the top three with Wake, Maryland,
and N.C. State.

The Hokies were picked to beat
Florida State in the ACC Championship
Game.
