A black bear was seen running
around Roanoke near the Post Office on

The 100-pound female brought
nearby employees out of their offices
to see what would happen next.

For those lucky enough to catch a
glimpse of the bear, they couldn't
believe their eyes.

There are several construction
projects currently underway or just
wrapping up.

Take Mallory Hall, an academic
building, which was totally gutted and
renovated.

Right now, crews are busy building a
third barracks which will be located
next to the current one.

Also rising up from the ground is the
new Center for Leadership and Ethics.
