GRAPHIC=HOKIE FUND The man in charge of the Hokie
Spirit Memorial fund held his last
official meeting with victims and
family members today.
The University brought in
Washington attorney Kenneth Feinberg to
divide up the money.
ENG#=1 VO NAT
VO NAT Feinberg proposes: Virginia Tech
give 150-thousand dollars to each of
the 32 families who lost a loved one on
April 16th.
He says the injured could get
anywhere between 8-thousand and
75-thousand, depending on how long they
were in the hospital.
Anyone who witnessed the
shootings could get tuition assistance
or a flat 8-thousand dollars.
Those who suffered psychological
trauma would also be
compensated...though Feinberg uses the
word "reimbursed."
