CK/TITAN TITAN RADAR ANALYSIS

<< Good evening, I'm Meteorologist Jay
Webb in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. The high temperature today in
Roanoke was 100, hot enough to set a
new record! This morning's low was 76.
Right now the TITAN radar isn't
showing any activity around here thanks
to high pressure which is in control.

The story tonight - and in fact for the
rest of the week - will be the hot
temperatures. The air quality will be
poor, so make sure to stay indoors as
much as possible. Look for hazy skies
tonight with lows in the muggy 70s.
Tonight will provide little relief from
today's record warmth. Thursday and
Friday call for more of the same, with
hazy sunshine and afternoon highs in
the 90s - close to some records! A
stray afternoon or evening storm will
be possible, but nothing organized will
develop. This weekend calls for
"cooler" highs in the upper 80s, but
with somewhat lower humidity. The
weekend forecast also looks dry with
mostly sunny to partly sunny skies.
Get the latest weather forecast and
radar imagery anytime on our website,

stay cool! --Jay>>

The crew of seven astronauts will
be at the station for at least eleven
days.

During that time, they will
continue construction and maintenance
on the station, what NASA calls
building for the future.

Aboard the shuttle is teacher
astronaut Barbara Morgan, the first
teacher to fly since the Challenger
exploded in 19-86.

During the flight the 55 year old
is expected to speak with school
children in Idaho, where she lived and
taught before joining NASA in 19-98 as
the first teacher to undergo full
