large numbers to voice their concerns
to the school board.

It was just announced the
county's elementary school principal is
leaving to take a job in another school
system.

The same goes for the middle and
high school principal. Tracy Poff,
seen here in an interview back in 2004
has resigned to become an athletic
director in Montgomery County.

The Superintendent says it's a
coincidence both administrators are
leaving, but parents aren't buying it.

Roanoke County Fire and Rescue
offered its first of two Character
Academies yesterday.

charged with forcible sodomy, and he
still says he is innocent.

Co-workers at the Country Bear
Day School say they never received
complaints, or witnessed inappropriate
behavior.

But the prosecutor argued that
Nuckles abused a position of trust, and
needed to be locked up. Judge James

distance between itself and Michael
Vick.

Last week, the president of the
Southern Christian Leadership
Conference said the group was
considering acknowledging the Falcons
quarterback at its convention in
Atlanta.

But yesterday, an SCLC spokesman
said Vick won't be part of the
convention activities.

He said quote "There is no award,
there is no honor for Mike Vick."

Vick has pleaded not guilty to
charges of sponsoring a dogfighting
operation.

The school is another step
closer to providing more housing for
its students.

than student housing, but this was
originally supposed to be a retirement
community.

The project went bankrupt,
however, so Liberty bought it out and
is turning this into almost 30 student
housing units, mostly for married and
graduate students.

Campbell County supervisors gave
the latest go-ahead Monday night when
they approved a private sewage pumping
station.

Barring unexpected setbacks, the
units should be ready for the new
school year.
