LEO IN CHROMAKEY

LEO IN CHROMAKEY

< Webb in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. Welcome to your Friday!
Limited rain chances for us today as
strong to severe thunderstorms line up
along a cold front in the Ohio River
Valley and back toward the Missouri
Valley. As high pressure retreats off
the Atlantic coast, we'll see a warm
day with highs in the low to mid 90s.
Record heat is possible today
(Roanoke's record high: 93/1998). Warm
and muggy tonight with lows near 70.
Skies will be hazy overnight. There's a
chance of a few afternoon showers and
storms Saturday afternoon, mainly in
the western viewing area. Some of these
storms could drift eastward during the

evening. Even at that, most of Saturday
will be dry and very hot. Once again,
records may fall Saturday with highs
forecast in the mid and upper 90s.
(Roanoke's record high Saturday:
95/1993). Sunday offers the best chance
of rain as the cold front to our west
today finally pushes into the area.
Still warm Sunday with highs in the low
90s. Early next week is looking mainly
dry with cooler temperatures.

FRIDAY: Hazy sunshine and very hot.
High: 94

FRIDAY NIGHT: Hazy skies and muggy.
Low: 72

Have a great weekend! --Meteorologist
