and will stall in the Carolinas. Drier
air will push into the region today
leading to a fairly comfortable day.
Watch for patchy fog during the morning
commute, then a partly to mostly sunny
afternoon. The dry air aloft should
keep storms from flaring up. However,
an afternoon stray storm can't be ruled
out, especially in southern
Virginia.Tuesday through Thursday are
forecast partly to mostly sunny with
limited rain chances. Temperatures will
warm during this period; as hot as the
low 90s Wednesday and Thursday. Another
cold front makes a move toward the area
Friday with a 50% chance of showers.
This boundary will do a number on the
late week heat. Highs Friday through
Sunday are forecast in the upper 70s to
lower 80s. TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE: Just
before sunrise Tuesday morning. Western
sky brightens during the event, making

observations difficult after 6am. Visit
