after a car crash

near the North Carolina border.

State police say six girls all
between the ages of 14 and 17 were
riding in a pickup truck when it veered
off the road, flipped over and caught
on fire.

Two girls died at the scene, one
died on the way to the hospital, and
it's still not clear how the other
three survivors are doing.

condos, a community center, and
restaurants in this area near Betty's
Creek.

The county shot down the original
proposal and the developer went back to
the drawing board to make revisions.

The new layout is still not

The developer was not available
for comment but residents who met today
to discuss the issue say if this plan
is approved it'll impact the entire
county.

going over well with a group of female
students and donors who are now asking

a panel of three Virginia Supreme Court
justices to hear an appeal to a
previously dismissed lawsuit.

The complaint says the board of
trustees cannot use the school's assets
to benefit men because when many of the
donations were made the thought was
that it would benefit the woman's
institution.

A school spokesperson says the
college hopes to move past the lawsuits
soon.

against a Lynchburg Hillcats team that
was seemingly just playing out the
string, having lost 11 straight games.

Gameday would in fact be making the
trip to Baton Rouge this weekend for
the Hokies date with LSU. But the
Hokies need to get a lot better between
now and then.

Last season, the Hokies
offensive line was a sore subject among
fans, and after Saturday's season
opener against East Carolina, there
wasn't much to indicate that the men in
the trenches had fixed many of their
problems.
