that has stuck with many of us - Tech
senior Kevin Sterne being carried out
of Norris Hall by four policemen.

Sterne was shot in the leg and
had tied an electrical cord around it
to stop the bleeding.

Sterne's mother - Suzanne Grimes
said in her e-mail to News 7 - the
Virginia Tech review panel's report did
not inclue information from ALL
survivors.

Including Kevin, seen on campus in a
story we aired last winer.

His mother says after graduation
- it was widely published that Kevin
was returning home to the Pittsburgh
area for recovery - but said Tech never
made a phone call that would have
allowed him to participate in the
panel's fact finding report.

Grimes also focused on the errors
on April 16th.

She said quote "it is not
unreasonable on Virginia Tech's part to
acknowledge their errors; however they
still defend their actions that day."

She wrote about Seung Hei Cho
Sung He Jo - "He may have been the gun
man, but the errors on the part of so
many contributed to this horrific
massacre."

And Grimes called for the
resignation of administration and other
officials saying it would only be fair
to the Virginia Tech community. >>

factor in an accident that killed three
teenagers over the weekend in Carroll
County.

Authorities also say the 15 year
old driver was too young to legally be
behind the wheel.

It happened yesterday in the
Cana community near the North Carolina
border. Six teenage girls ranging
from 14 to 17 years old were riding in
a Dodge Dakota when it veered off the
road, flipped and caught fire.

killed.

Peak was 17 years old. Leonard

number of students it has interested in
math and science careers.

National Math and Science Initiative
handed over more than 13- million
dollars to Governor Tim Kaine this
week.

The Higher Education Center in
Southside helped secure the grant,
funded mostly by Exxon Mobile.

classes in math science and english.

The money will be used, in part,
to reach out to rural- students.

thunderstorms on Friday night,
postponing them until today. We'll
start at Northside where the Vikings
looked to avoid an oh and 2 start
against William Fleming.

The Vikes were in the redzone in
the third, but Brady Craft has his
passed picked off by Marcus Bratton who
turns in a decent return for the
Colonels.

LaCalvin Hickman then got the

call for the Colonels carrying for good

Valley, after Mother Nature suspended
things last Friday.

made their way back for the second half
of this game with Byrd on top 21-to-7.

The Terriers would just keep

quarterback Landon Johnson and tailback
Brent Hubbard ran the Terriers to

Hidden Valley finally got on the
board late in the third, as Alan
Castro's tipped pass at the goal line
falls into the hands of Matt Aiken.
The juggling catch got the Titans back

of the way as Tyler Snow the fullback
leads the way to the endzone on the
