is back on the table in downtown
Roanoke.

While the city has made some
changes, downtown leaders say they

still have serious concerns.

in an overnight murder in Roanoke.

Police found Keith Leon Lewis
lying in the middle of 5th Street early
this morning near the intersection with
Gilmer Avenue.

Lewis had been shot. He was
taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial
Hospital where he later died. Police

families and friends of three teenage
girls killed in an accident in Carroll
County on Sunday.

State Police say the truck
overturned and caught fire.

Two victims were thrown from the
pickup's bed - the other was not
wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.

Police say 79-year--old Audrey
Vincent was headed north on Route 501
when her car ran off the left shoulder
of the roadway and into the median
where it hit a sign.

Vincent and her two passengers ...
78-year-old Franklin Vincent and

injured in the crash.

They're all in stable condition at
Lynchburg General.

One lane on both the north and
southbound sides of the road were
closed while road crews cleared the

station in Patrick County now faces
child pornography charges.

A grand jury today indicted
Jamie Thomas Clark.

Clark owns W-H-E-O Radio in
Stuart.

The investigation dates
back to 2005. State Police say Clark
allowed high school- aged young people
to have sex at his home. A search of
Clark's home and the radio station
later found pornographic video tapes
and computer files.

kill Daisy Mae, evidence was presented
in court indicating Felter did try to
put the dog down herself.

She allegedly gave the dog two
dozen pain pills. She was even said to
be ready to use anti-freeze.

In a situation like that, Doctor
Karras says, it might be best if a
professional goes ahead and puts the
animal to sleep.

While the best interests of
clients and their patients occasionally
collide, an experienced veterinarian
can often glean more from the pet than
the person.

retreat for Lynchburg city council
members.

short of hopes to dramatically increase
tourism in Virginia this year.

Elizabeth the Second to our state in
May, and some sites did benefit from
the anniversary, places like Historic
Jamestowne, Jamestown Settlement, and
the state Capitol.

But some other tourist attractions in
Virginia reported fewer year-to-year
visitors through Labor Day.

State tourism officials say the full
effect of Jamestown's anniversary will
be better understood over a period of
years, not just the last four months or

mean there won't be a spotlight on the
Cavaliers.

U-V-A is coming off a
disappointing loss to Wyoming to begin
the season. The Wahoos open up the
Home Portion of their schedule against
Duke this weekend.

When they do you can expect to
see more than one quaterback playing
for Al Groh.

In his weekly press conference
Groh said that the Passing Game needs
to Progress and that Jameel Sewell is
still the starter, but much heralded
Freshman Peter Lalich will see some
playing time.

Groh said it could be a lot like
the situation at Florida a year ago
with Chris Leak and Tim Tebow.

The Cavaliers have tried this
once before in the Al Groh era, when
they tried to play both Bryson Spinner
and Matt Schaub. That experiment did

not go well at all. Coach Groh feels
like they learned from the situation
and are better prepared to handle it
this go around.

Hokies stay number nine in both polls -
fellow ACC member Florida State falls
completely out of the top 25 after
losing to Clemson last night.

But the Seminoles fall from grace
is not the roughest this week.

Michigan becomes the first first
team in the history of the poll to fall
out of the top five and tumble all the
way out of the poll.

The Wolverines lost to App State
on Saturday.
