killed in the Virginia Tech shootings
have retained a law firm that

specializes in high-profile wrongful
death cases.

One of the lawyers told the
Washington Post the families are
considering wrongful death suits

and a federal civil rights claim
against the state.

The lawyers say the families believe
university officials could have done
more to prevent the April 16th
shootings.

More than a hundred workers have

settled lawsuits against flavoring
companys for lung damage.

The decision by ConAgra Foods
comes after it was revealed that a
leading lung research hospital had
written federal regulators to warn that
consumers may also be in danger from
fumes produced in the buttery
flavoring.

since students have been uprooted after
a rat infestation at Fairview
Elementary.

Parents say it's been a problem for
years now.

Memos provided by the school system
reveal during 2006, a teacher turned in
14 bottles of glue with the tops eaten
off of them. During that same year,
"one rat ran across a room during SOL
testing. That same memo indicates the
rats are being noticed regulary by
students. In another undated memo,
many teachers hear several large

animals running through the ceiling
during school hours.

We shared this information with
school board chairman David Carson.

For example, the principal reported
she pulled a large rat out of a trap at
the beginning of summer school.

By August, someone complained to the
Health Department. An inspection found
droppings, and several dead rats had
been recovered from the ceiling because
of poison that had been laid out.

During a followup visit last week,
inspectors found large number of rodent
droppings under cooking equipment.

They also found droppings under a
work table, in the dishwashing room,
and under an ice cream freezer.

was perhaps the best- known tenor of
the 20th century.

Pavarotti's manager says the
71-year-old died

in his hometown in Italy.

He'd been battling pancreatic cancer.

brightest star had a personality as

as his booming voice...

But, at 71.. Luciano Pavarotti was
silenced by cancer. He died at home in

Modena, Italy with his wife and four
daughters at his side.

Outside the opera house in Vienna,
Austria, a black flag marked his
passing.

And in New York, fans outside of the
Met remembered him ... and how with a

single note, he could bring the house
down.

Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from
his years in the ring.

Doctors now say that the
multiple concussions could help explain
why he killed his wife, his son and
himself.

Tests on Benoit's brain,

conducted by Julian Bailes of the
Sports Legacy Institute, show that
Benoit's brain was severely damaged,
and that it resembled the brain of an
85 year old Alzheimer's patient.

Despite the results, there is no
way to know for sure if Benoit's
concussions contributed to the
murder-suicide.

But doctors say there is no doubt
the level of brain damage Benoit had
can cause depression and irrational
behavior.
