But tonight a toddler was found
dead in a car in Blacksburg.

are looking for the driver who hit a
biker overnight.

: A Jeep and motorcycle collided at
North Franklin and Cambria Streets
around 3:30 this morning killing
Gregory Jackson of Christiansburg.

He was 22.

These are pictures of the crashed
motorcycle in the road taken as the sun
was coming up this morning.

Police say the Jeep driver took
off.

A search warrant states police
spotted a silver 2004 Jeep Rubicon in a
parking lot at the Citgo gas station in
Christiansburg with damage to the
driver's side.

Police closed the downtown

Christiansburg exit off 460 east and
two lanes on North Franklin Street for
several hours while the crash team
investigated.

the worries for students at Cave Spring
High School.

to deal with, but not for long.

Both teams are forced to play
their home games on the road because
Bogle Field is still not ready.

You may remember the school
system is spending 850-thousand dollars
to turf the field.

The work was suppose to be done
over the summer but the turf did not

arrive on time.

Administrators say the turf
arrived today and workers will begin
installing it next week.

The hope is the work will be
finished by the next home game which is
scheduled for September 21st.

took 48 hours to build and less than a
day to tear down.

video of crews tearing down the stage
in Lane Stadium.

By many accounts, last night's
5-hour concert for Virginia Tech was a
success.

And for those who worried about
the football field... there doesn't
appear to be any major damage.

The grass is still in place and
just needs to be painted before the
next home football game.

The concert did make for a busy
night for Virginia Tech police.

They arrested 41 people for
public intoxication and made four
arrests for underage possession of
alcohol.

Elementary moved back into their old
building this week but with one
noticeable difference.....a new

This past year, the school
underwent more than 3 million dollars
in renovations.

paint, remodeled floors and new
