driver who hit and killed a biker in
Christiansburg overnight.

: A Jeep and motorcycle collided at
North Franklin and Cambria Streets
around 3:30 this morning killing
Gregory Jackson of Christiansburg.

He was 22.

These are pictures of the crashed
motorcycle in the road taken as the sun
was coming up this morning.

Police say the Jeep driver took
off.

A search warrant states police
spotted a silver 2004 Jeep Rubicon in a
parking lot at the Citgo gas station in
Christiansburg with damage to the
driver's side.

Police have not made any arrests
yet.

Wythe County man. State Police say he
was traveling in the wrong lanes of
Interstate 77.

Poplar Camp exit around 2:00 this
morning. Investigators say Franklin
Greer was heading north in the
southbound lanes when a tractor trailer
hit his car head-on.

investigating a deadly crash -- this
one involving a 91 year old man.

It happened in the 12-hundred
block of Fenwick Drive around four
o'clock this afternoon.

91 year old Carl Brickey was
trapped inside his car -- he later died
at the hospital.

59 year old John Lee was in the
other car -- he was also taken to the
hospital. No charges will be filed.

World-War-Two-Era plane crashed during
practice before the air show at Oceana
Naval Air Station.

Witnesses say the plane was about
to land when it flew into the ground
while still under full power.

A woman from Danville was at the

By many accounts, last night's
5-hour concert for Virginia Tech was a
success.

And for those worried about the
football field... there does not appear
to be any major damage.

The grass is still in place and
just needs to be painted before the
next home football game.

The concert did provide a busy
night for Virginia Tech police.

They arrested 41 people for
public intoxication and made four
arrests for underage possession of
alcohol.
