William Fleming vs. Franklin Co. A packed house at Cy Dillon :00 Stadium in Rocky Mount turned out to
see if Ben Boyd's Eagles could slow
down the Colonels.

Just before half-time, Fleming's
De'andre Mumford will find Aaron
Johnson Junior for this 31 yard scoring
strike and the Colonels light up the
scoreboard just before the break and
take a 19-to-nothing lead into the
lockeroom.

Early in the third, the Eagles
will try to make a game of it. Adolpho
Avael breaks one off good and proper
right up the middle from 15 yards out
and that cuts the Fleming lead to
19-to-7 early in the period.

Early in the fourth, with the
Colonels threatening to put the game
away Fleming's Mumford will have his
pass picked off by Avael at the goal
line, and the return will bring it out
to the 25 yard line.

With just over three minutes left
in the game, the Eagles had one last
shot to pull closer. *CG ffefinal William Fleming

19 On fourth down, Tyler Brubaker lofts Franklin Co. one into the endzone - just off the 7 outstretched fingertips of Markel

Patrick Henry vs. Pulaski Co. The Cougar faithful were hoping :00 to see their team improve to 2-to-oh

We pick this tight contest up in
the second half with the Cougars

clinching to a 7 point lead and PH on
the move. Darren Thomas hands off
Javon Brown who blasts through a hole
in the middle and races to the endzone
and it's now 7-to-6 after the blocked

Late in the fourth Pulaski would
finally flex enough offensive muscle to
put this thing away as Shay Dunnigan
pitched the ball to Seth Parris, who
will make a nice move on the sweep and
carry the *CG ffefinal Patrick Henry mail to the 10 yard line.

OQ=Friday Football Extra. << Landon Johnson's efforts in
(END SOT) earning Player of the Week, nearly

stretched a Week. His team played and
won a game that stretched over an
entire weekend.

(JOHNSON BITE:05:11 butt with 05:30)

(HIGHFILL BITE:00:35 and 01:17)

On the Offensive side Johnson ran
for 90 yards and a Touchdown, in the
Air he made the most of his chances,
completing 3 of 5 passes for 128 yards,
2 of the completions went for
Touchdowns.

(JOHNSON BITE:07:05)

(HIGHFILL BITE:02:03)

Johnson also did the job on
Defense intercepting 2 Titan Passes.

(JOHNSON BITE:06:42)

The Senior is in his 3rd Season
as a the full-time starting
quarterback. He part of a Senior Class
that took it's lumps when they first
started playing on the Varsity

(JOHNSON BITE:06:17)

(HIGHFILL BITE:02:55 or 03:23)

(STANDUP: Battling through the Losses
early in his career for Johnson was

something that pales in comparison to
the daily battle he fights. Landon was
diagnosed with Diabeteis when he was in
the 8th Grade.)

(JOHNSON BITE:07:26 and 07:48)

It will clearly take a lot to
slow Down Johnson this season on the
Football Field. Grant Kittelson Friday
