survived a nightmarish ordeal.

He was shot in the face.

place around 10:30 last night when the
driver was going north on 12th Street
near Garfield Avenue.

It's unclear whether someone from
inside our outside the cab shot him.

County have water again.

broke earlier today creating a

sinkhole.

At last count, 20 homes are
without water, as well as the Howard
Johnson Hotel on Skyview.

The Water Authority is working to

That's the question one mother is
asking tonight?

A few months ago, Governor Tim
Kaine signed into law new changes that
will affect Virginia's waterways.

NO SUPER! 20-years-old and younger will have to
take boater education to handle a jet
ski.

By 20-12, everyone will have to
have completed a course to operate a
jet ski.

And beginning in 20-12, Virginia
law starts requiring residents to know
how to safely operate a motorboat.

surprising ultimatum ...change their

Steve Fossett is in its fifth day.

after the April shootings.

There was a costume parade and
other fun activities for the animals

Even a doggy kissing booth and as
you can see, this young girl got up

best three out of five game Carolina
League championship series tonight in
Frederick with a 3 to 2 loss.

Tim Torres hit a solo shot in the
7th and the Avs got one more in the 9th

before losing by a run.

Game two is tomorrow night in
Frederick, and then as many of the
final three games, as necessary, will
be in Salem starting on Monday night
and running on consecutive evenings.

Baton Rouge has been a flat out
disaster tonight.

The Hokies offense has been
unproductive with 40 yards in the first
half - and the Tech defense has been
almost non-existent.

LSU rolled up 24 first half
points and over 300 yards of offense.

The Tigers lead Tech
27-to-nothing in the third. Freshman
Tyrod Taylor is playing at quarterback
for the Hokies.

today with an ACC win.

Charlottesville was lowly Duke - a
program that came into the game with 21
straight losses.

The first half was all UVA as
former Friday Football Extra star
Cedric Peerman from William Campbell
rips off this 58 yard touchdown run.
Peerman, had a breakout game with 145
yards rushing on 21 carries.

As promised, Al Groh used two
quarterbacks and both Jameel Sewell and
freshman Peter Lalich tossed short
touchdown passes to tight end Tom Santi
as the Cavs offense played much better.

But the performance was far from
perfect. Freshman long snapper Danny
Aiken from Cave Spring snapped one ball
out of the endzone in the first half
for a safety and then in the third
quarter sailed one over his punter's
head that led to a Duke TD. It was 17
to 13 game in the fourth quarter,

returned to the area today and
literally made the Keydets face the
music at Alumni Field.

Phillips had a lot Bath County
fans cheering him on and he was was

football. Jake completed 13 of 15

passes including this one to Elliott
Mack over the middle.

That completion set up Phillips
second Touchdown pass of the day, as he
rolls out to his right and finds his
big Tight End Drew Atchison in the
endzone to put the Tribe up 35 to 10.

Jake wasn't done yet as he took
William and Mary 52 yards in just 27
Seconds at the end of the First half
with his 3rd Touchdown pass of the day.
Phillips threw for 242 yards in just 2
quarters of play.

V-M-I didn't have many highlights
on the day, one was provided by Nat
