expected to bring 60 mile an hour winds

and at least 4 inches of rain.

some beach erosion and some pounding

Diplomats vs. Generals W&L quarterback R.J. Varner was :00 more than up for the showdown between
the Generals and the Diplomats.

And so too was the W&L defense as
senior linebacker Bryant Fulk flexes
some muscle and comes up with the stop
as the Generals kept the Diplomats off
the scoreboard all day.

The Generals offense also played
well as Varner connects with Jack
Martin on a nice first down over the
middle.

The two then hooked up for the
eventual game winning *CG final Franklin & Marshall score as the Generals beat Franklin and 0 Marshall 20-to-nothing to open their Washington & Lee season.
