Christiansburg.

He was 22.

Police say the driver of the Jeep
took off.

According to the search, police
later spotted a silver.... 2004 Jeep
Rubicon... in a parking lot at the
"Citgo gas station" in
Christiansburg... with damage to the
driver's side.

Lynchburg...killed a 91 year old man.

It happened in the 12-hundred
block of Fenwick Drive around four
o'clock Friday afternoon.

Carl Brickey was trapped inside
his car. He later died at the hospital.

59 year old John Lee was in the
"other" car -- he was also taken to the
hospital. No charges will be filed.

A special memorial is being built
to honor pets killed during Hurricane
Katrina.

This week the Humane Society of
Louisiana revealed the design of the
statue that will be built in New
Orleans.

Officials with the Humane Society

say the 35-thousand dollar statue will
be paid for by donations.

The memorial is set to be
unveiled next year on the third
anniversary of Katrina.

After months of planning and
waiting, demolition crews have begun
tearing down what is left of tornado
ravaged Enterprise High School in
Alabama.

At least eight students were
among 19 people killed when a violent
storm ripped through the community.

The high school was right in the
center of the destruction back in
March.

The school board has a target of
60 days to tear down what is left of
the school.

Then they hope to break ground on
the new elementary school as the
demolition nears completion.

investigating an accident that sent two
people to the hospital this morning.

Officials responded to a
single-vehicle crash in the 1800 block
of Enterprise Drive at around 3:30.

The driver, Daniel Arrington, a
22-year-old of Forest, and a passenger,
Geoffrey Yark, who is 40 and from
Lynchburg, were both taken to Lynchburg
General Hospital.

still twenty-one former South Korean
hostages are mourning the loss of two
of their church members killed by
Taliban militants.

Funeral services were held today
for the church pastor who was murdered.
He was found dead in July with multiple

gun shot wounds. He was one of the aid
workers from a South Korean church who
was kidnapped from a bus.

He along with another man were
killed when negotiations stalled with

By many accounts, Thursday
night's 5-hour concert for Virginia
Tech was a SUCCESS.

And for those worried about the
"football" field... there does not
appear to be any major damage.

The grass is still in place and
just needs to be painted before the
next home football game.

The concert did provide a busy
night for Virginia Tech police.

They arrested 41 people for
public intoxication and made FOUR
arrests for "underage" possession of
alcohol.

building this past week but with one
