GRAPHIC= FATAL ACCIDENT Blacksburg police are

investigating a fatal car accident that
closed part of the Route 460 bypass
overnight.

At around 9 o'clock last night, a
woman was traveling westbound on 460
between South Main Street and Southgate
Drive, when her vehicle overcorrected
and overturned.

She later died at Montgomery
Regional Hospital.

Three Rottweilers were also found
inside the vehicle.

One dog died, and the two others
were taken to the Virginia Tech
Veterinary school.

The name of the victim has not
been released.

died in a car crash on Little River
Road.

Miller ran into a post and
flipped over.

He was thrown from the car and
died at the scene.

lucky to be alive after getting shot in
the face.

place around 10:30 Friday night when
the driver was going north on 12th
Street near Garfield Avenue.

It's unclear whether someone from

those who like to get behind the wheel
on the water.

A few months ago, Governor Tim
Kaine signed into law - new changes
that will affect Virginia's waterways.

VO-NAT Starting in 2009, anyone
NO SUPER! 20-years-old and younger will have to
take boater education to handle a jet
ski.

By 2012, *everyone* will have to
have completed a course to operate one.

And beginning in 2012, Virginia
law will require residents to know how
to safely operate a motorboat.

however, as a cold front to our west

repair itself.

A German study found that people with

significant heart failure who rode a
bicycle for up to 30 minutes each day
over four months produced new stem
cells and small blood vessels.

People who didn't ride the bike didn't
show these changes.

Exercise can send up to 10 times the
normal amount of blood to muscles and
stem cells may be dispatched to repair
any damage.

With continued exercise, these cells
may help adapt the body to stress by
building new vessels and strengthening
the muscles.

Researchers report that teenagers
who've survived childhood cancers are
more likely than their siblings to be
depressed or anxious, have attention
problems or show antisocial behaviors.

While the majority of children
diagnosed with cancer now survive, it's
known that they face health risks as
they grow older and are at
greater-than-average risk of developing
a second cancer later in life.

The findings suggest teenage cancer
survivors should be assessed by a

medical team including psychologists as
part of their long-term follow-up care
for problems like depression and
antisocial behavior.

flooding in parts of southwest Missouri
yesterday.

Roads and bridges are underwater
and cars are submerged.

Police officers are still
patrolling the area warning residents

to stay off roads until conditions
improve.

For some fishermen, the storm is
cutting into their fishing time, which
is bad for business.

For most local residents,
however, Gabrielle is bringing them

rainfall.

GRAPHIC= FATAL ACCIDENT Blacksburg police are

investigating a fatal car accident that
closed part of the Route 460 bypass
overnight.

Police say at around nine o'clock
last a night -a woman was traveling on
460 between South Main Street and
Southgate when she overcorrected and
overturned.

She later died at Montgomery
Regional Hospital.

Three Rottweilers were also found
inside the vehicle.

One dog died, and the two others
were taken to the Virginia Tech
Veterinary school.

The name of the victim has not
been released.

not been seen or heard from in
six-days.

Fossett left from a ranch in

three-hour flight.

The 63-year-old adventurer had

involved a massive aerial search
involving as many as 45 planes and
helicopters.

But a longtime friend who taught
Fossett ballooning says searchers have
found "nothing."
