Cassell is scheduled to walk into
Roanoke's federal courthouse later this
morning to face sentencing.
His attorney is asking for no more than
six months of house arrest, saying
Cassell "has been punished beyond any
means the government can imagine."
But as Keith Humphy reports, the
government is calling for prison time.

County pond last night.
Now investigators are trying to
determine his identity.
Someone found the man lying face down
in a pond on Dickerson Mill Road, a
pickup truck and fishing gear were also
found nearby.

with stealing a Jeep may be connected
to Friday's fatal hit and run in
Christiansburg.

Anthony Adams of Floyd was
arrested Friday, although it wasn't
announced until yesterday.
Investigators say the 47 year old
stole a silver Jeep Rubicon from Duncan
Jeep Isuzu.

Christiansburg gas station.
Investigators believe it was the
vehicle that crashed into a biker early

Police say the driver took off.
No one has been charged with the
hit and run.

Wyman earned an Oscar in 19-48 for

That was the same year she divorced

adopted son, Michael.
She earned fame later in life playing
matriarch Angela Channing on the '80s
night-time soap, "Falcon Crest."
Jane Wyman was 93.

pleaded guilty earlier this year to
making false statements to the F-B-I.

deputies. The feds charged there was a
racketerring conspiracy at work and
alleged Cassell withheld information

for no more than six months of house
arrest.

relief organizations, even local

today to determine if a man charged
with stealing a Jeep may be connected
to Friday's fatal hit and run in
Christiansburg.

Anthony Adams of Floyd was
arrested Friday, although it wasn't
announced until yesterday.
Investigators say the 47 year old
stole a silver Jeep Rubicon from Duncan
Jeep Isuzu.

Friday According to a search warrant
filed last Friday- a similar Jeep with
a lot of damage was spotted at a
Christiansburg gas station.
Investigators believe it was the
vehicle that crashed into a biker early
Friday morning.
22 year-old Gregory Jackson of
Christiansburg was killed in that
wreck.
Police say the driver took off.
No one has been charged with the
hit and run.

Cassell faces sentencing today. He
pleaded guilty earlier this year to
making false statements to the F-B-I.
The government will ask for a prison
sentence of more than a year. Cassell's
attorneys will ask for no more than six
months of house arrest.

with stealing a Jeep found at a gas
station may be connected to Friday's
fatal hit and run in Christiansburg.The
Jeep is believed to have been involved
