VO-NAT Tropical Storm Humberto formed

off the Texas coast today, promising to
bring more rain and possibly flooding
to a state coming off one of the
wettest summers in more than 50 years.

The storm's rain bands are
spreading over the coast tonight.
Between 5 and 10 inches of rain is
expected, with some spots possibly
getting as much as 15 inches.

The storm is expected to make
landfall near Galvaston later tonight.
Oddly enough, last Saturday marked the
107th anniversary of the great 1900
storm that hit the Texas shores, where
more than 6,000 people were killed in
what still remains the nation's
deadliest natural disaster.

GRAPHIC=Tech Welcome back everybody to News 7

at 10. Earlier this week, Frank Beamer
made the tough decision to change
quarterbacks after two games.

It's not the first tough call that
Beamer has had to make in his 26 year
head coaching career and it certainly

won't be the last.

Through 5 years at Murray State
and now in his 21st season at Tech,
Beamer has found a variety of ways to
get things done, and with a win over
Ohio on Saturday, the head coach would
have 200 victories in his career.
