The victim who is 43 years old says
she noticed a car falling too closely
near Lord Botetourt High School just
after 12:30 Wednesday morning.

It continued all the way up 220 and
onto interstate 64.

She didn't think much of it until she
got off at exit 16 when she saw a car
following her all the way through
Covington.

Just north of the city, the tailing
car turned on a flashing blue light.

A man in a dark uniform made her get
out of the car, made a sexual comment
and hit her in the face which knocked
her to the ground.

She was then able to escape.

Now here's a description of the
suspect.

He is a white male, in his early
forties, about 6 feet tall, weighing
anywhere between 185 and 200 pounds.

He was wearing wire rimmed
glasses. He also had a moustache and a
military style haircut.

The sheriff is recommending if a
woman is pulled over, she should stop
near a well lit area or near people.

GRAPHIC=Northside Infection School officials are breathing a

sigh of relief after tests show that an

outbreak at Northside High School is
NOT MRSA- that dangerous staph
infection..

In the past few days, a total of
nine students developed a skin
irritation.

Doctors tested all 9 and those
results show that it's highly unlikely
the problem is MRSA or a staph
infection.

The school believes the problem
is nothing more than a skin irritation.

The results came back after the
school warned parents of Northside
football players at the beginning of
the week that the problem could be
MRSA.

They say there is no health risk
to the student body.

three schools are in jeopardy of losing
state accreditation.

This is the first time in Roanoke
City School history that a school has
been at risk of losing its state
accreditation.

All three have failed to be
accredited for four years in a row.

The Virginia Department of

County corruption scandal.

Christiansburg crash that killed a man
last Friday.

Anthony Adams of Floyd was
charged with hit and run today.

He's accused of stealing a Jeep
and then wrecking it into a biker.

Gregory Jackson of Christiansburg

was killed, and police say Adams took
off.

filed today, police are also trying to
track down vehicle insurance claims
made by Adams.

The warrant says Adams told
police he wrecked his vehicle in Floyd

governor... Jim Gilmore is also
interested in the job.

You may recall he recently pulled
out of the presidential race... well,
he's back in Virginia now raising money
and helping elect Republicans to the
state- house.

He calls the Senate seat a "big

He also hasn't ruled out running
for governor again in 2009.

Another Republican interested in
the job is northern Virginia
Congressman Tom Davis.

wait until after November to make their

was living in her driveway... her home
stripped bare, after Hurricane Katrina
brought more than six feet of water,

and destroyed most of her belongings.

Louis, members of South Roanoke United
Methodist Church and other volunteers
with the Roanoke Interfaith Coalition
were wiping down the studs with bleach,
shoveling out the old linoleum and
other debris...

print over the fireplace... a faded rug
that survived the flood, there are few
reminders of Katrina in McAuley's home.

Recently married, the Bay St.
Louis School Teacher says life is
good... though she wonders if anyone

who lived through the storm will ever

time she sees a hurricane forming off
the coast of africa.

But she also says it was a
wonderful day, a year and a half after
katrina that she finally moved from her
FEMA trailer and finally made her way
back home for good.

pumpkin. But this year, finding it

might be a bit more difficult.

own hands. This summer he's been taking
water from an already drying pond to to
save his 5 acre garden of gourds in
Bedford County.
