Blacksburg last Friday died from heat
stroke.

That's the official cause of
death from the medical examiner's
office.

According to one person consulted
on the case,

VO NAT the mother of the boy forgot the child NO SUPER was in the car and drove to work and
when she went to pick him up from
Rainbow Riders Daycare that evening,
staff told her the boy had not been
dropped off.

She found the toddler
unresponsive in the back seat of her
car.

When police got there - the
child, not quite two years old, was
already dead.

No charges have been filed at
this time.

man found in Bedford County pond on
Monday.

Authorities say it's 55-year-old
Charles Latimer, Junior.

Deputies believe he was fishing
and went swimming in the pond.

A medical examiner says Latimer
drowned.

Latimer was last seen on Tuesday,
September 4th.

possibility.

Administrators warn some
students at Northside High School
suffering from skin infections may have
MRSA MURR-suh-- a type of staph
infection.

handful of football players had skin
infections...and are currently being
treated. They were not pulled out of
school...but letters were sent home to
parents of affected students.

Efforts to get rid of the source
are underway. The locker rooms, for

about the Fort Chiswell High School

teacher accused of having a sexual
relationship with a 15-year-old
student.

VO NAT Jason Hounshell, who's 31, was NO SUPER an agriculture teacher there.

He resigned Tuesday.

Hounshell is charged with a
misdemeanor in Wythe County and faces
two felony counts of taking indecent
liberties with a child in Pulaski
County.

Authorities in Pulaski County say
the charges stem from incidents at a
home there back in July.

Hounshell is free on bond, but he
could face more charges.

each, will be put into place in the

Pearl Fu has worked to organize
events like Taste of Culture and the
Local Colors parade.

She says the people of the
Roanoke Valley have reached out and
supported the diversity.

But for some cultural leaders,
there was some trepidation at first.
