Several thousand anti-war
demonstrators marched through downtown
Washington Saturday.
The group marched from the White
House to the Capitol to demand an end
to the Iraq war.
Counter-protesters lined the
sidewalks behind metal barricades.
And, there were some heated
shouting matches between the two sides.
Organizers estimated nearly
100-thousand attended the rally and
march.

Attorney General could be from
Richmond.
A senator from South Carolina
says White House officials told him
Friday Judge William Wilkins was high
on the list for the position of
Attorney General.
Wilkins is currently a senior
judge with the Fourth U.S. Circuit
Court of Appeals in Richmond.
If approved- he would replace
Alberto Gonzales who resigned under
intense pressure last month.
