Selection is about to wrap up for the
evening. Morva is the man who
authorities say killed a security guard
and a Montgomery County sheriff's
deputy after he escaped police custody
at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

students collided with a small S-U-V in
Carroll County this morning. Seven
students aboard the bus were taken to
the hospital for evaluation, but they
were quickly released.

NO SUPER Cana. Wytheville State Police tell us
the bus was headed to St. Paul School.
Officials say Brian Mayes of Mount
Airy, North Carolina, was driving the
S-U-V. He is under treatment in
Winston-Salem. Fire officials say he
crossed the center line on a curve,
striking the bus nearly head-on.

say they're taking all the necessary
precautions after a single case of
"MRSA" (MUR-suh) turned up in a local
high school.
MRSA is a type of staph infection
that's also known as a "superbug"
because of its resistance to
antibiotics.
The student is being treated and
is expected to return to school.
Superintendent George Nolley
(NALL-ee) says the school is following
all the recommendations of the health
department to prevent any further
outbreak.
A letter was sent home yesterday
to parents explaining the situation.

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital at
around 10 Tuesday morning. Her mother
knew about the move at Community and
didn't want to take any chances..so she
came straight to RMH.
But dozens of other babies and their
moms had to be transported. Safety was
the top priority especially for the
littlest of infants.

difference in their accommodations.

GRAPHIC=UVA The Virginia Cavaliers who were
given up for dead after losing at
Wyoming in their season opener have
sudenly won two straight games in the
ACC and improved to 2 and 1 on the
season.
One of the biggest reasons for
UVA's success has been the emergence of
a running game.
Cedric Peerman - the former
Friday Football Extra player of the
week from William Campbell - opened the
season with 19 yard rushing against teh
Cowboys - but sinbce then he's had 137
against Duke and 186 last week against
North Carolina.

air-tight cylinder filled with
oxygen...
Operators say the pure oxygen is a
pick-me-up for the pooped pup.
maybe that's why these dogs are
barking
Pet owners say this is perfect if
you live in the Tokyo and can't let
your dogs run or take them for
walks.One dog owenrs says her pooch is
usually lethargic but after coming to
the oxygen bar he's enthused and
barking. A thirty minute oxygen
treatments costs about 21 hundred yen
or 18 dollars.
