Clinic.


Patients and equipment are moving
about a mile from Roanoke Community
Hospital to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.


And although it's just a short
distance, the move will be no easy
task.

admitting new patients.


Current patients will begin
moving to Roanoke Memorial around 8,
and that process will continue through

But a controversial plan to raise
parking rates in downtown Roanoke has
now become a reality.

four to two to implement the plan,
although it's quite different from the
original one.


The compromise means parking fees
will be eliminated at the downtown
garages on Saturdays and Sundays before
4 PM.

murder trial of William Morva.

The judge has been able to seat 9

including three counts of capital
murder.

in prison for a murder in Tennessee...


But Carroll Lineberry could still
face the death penalty here in
Virginia.


Yesterday morning,
Lineberry pled guilty to the murder of
a school security guard near Knoxville.


Investigators traced Lineberry's
steps back to Galax, where they found
75-year-old Neal Hutton stabbed to
death.


Prosecutors here in Virginia
have said they intend to try Lineberry
on a capital murder charge in Galax.

We have some breaking news to
pass along.


Wytheville State police tells us
that they are working an accident
involving a school bus and one other
vehicle in Carroll County.


It happened at around 7:45 this
morning in the Cana Community.


The bus is said to be a special


needs bus that was headed to St. Paul
Elementary School.


Seven People have reportedly been
injured and are being transported to
the hospital. We'll have more
information as it becomes available.

buildings.

parking lot of the Jefferson Motor
Lodge around 9:40 yesterday morning,
when the equipment hit an underground
power line.


Motel residents rushed from their
rooms, and so did workers in offices
across the street after smoke travelled

Center. Average mid-September highs are
in the upper 70s to near 80. That's
what we're looking at for much of the
extended forecast. High pressure will
remain a team player this week with
very little rain chances. Low
temperatures will be on the cool side
once again tonight, but moderate a bit
more as the week progresses into the
low 60s. A few models are hinting of
isolated shower chances on Friday and
