morning, on the Interstate 64 exit ramp
near Mallow Mall.
State Police haven't completed
their investigation, but they say the
driver lost control and the car
overturned, coming to rest on its side.
All three young men are students
at Covington High School. They were
reportedly heading to K-Mart to sell
ads for the high school yearbook.

in New Castle.
Since that time, nearly
50-patients have come in to the see the
doctor.
The clinic is equipped for
everyday care and emergencies.

doctor says its in for the long-haul.
It has a three-year renewable
lease and is funded by both federal and
state money - meaning it can take
medicaid or medicare, or even people
who can't afford to pay.

An avid climber and outdoorsman,

Louisiana today.

They're charged with beating a white
classmate last December.
Racial tensions in Jena had already
been high.

following a single car accident in
Alleghany County.
The accident happened around 9
yesterday morning on the Interstate 64
exit ramp just outside of Covington
near Mallow Mall.

driver lost control of the vehicle.
The car overturned, slid on the
pavement, and came to rest on its side.

As V-C-U tested its new Emergency
Alert System yesterday, sirens sounded,
while text and E-mail messages went
out to faculty and students.
Administrators say the test went
well, but many students didn't know
what was going on.

An accident in Alleghany County
leaves a Covington High School student
critically injured-- and two others
hospitalized.
It happened around 9 yesterday
morning on the Interstate 64 exit ramp
near Mallow Mall.
The three students were reportedly
headed to K-Mart to sell ads for their
yearbook.

County is closed today due to
"complications with construction". More

a suspect in a hit and run. It happened
at the corner of Hershberger and Cove
Roads around 9:30 last night. Police
say a cyclist was hit...but it looks
like he didn't have any
life-threatening injuries.

It may take longer than a month
to re-open Fairview Elementary in
Roanoke. Administrators say
exterminators have been busy, laying
rat traps all around the school but it
could be awhile before the infestation
is completely eradicated.
