< Webb in the SkyTracker 7 Forecast
Center. As a weak backdoor cool front
slips into North Carolina, our skies
will become mostly clear Sunday night
into Monday morning. Some patchy river
valley fog may develop in some
hometowns. Low temperatures will be
comfortable and a touch cooler tonight

in the mid 50s. The forecast remains
simple the next few days as high
pressure filters into the area. A large
ridge of warmth will keep the eastern
United States above average in the
temperature department. Our next
opportunity to get some much needed
rain won't arrive until Thursday. This
will likely come later in the day and
won't have a lot of support, so right
now we'll keep rain chances at 30% and
most of that will likely be in the
mountains west of the Roanoke Valley.
Dry times continue. Have a great week!

As leaves begin to fall the next few
weeks our wildfire threat will
increase, especially if we don't get
rain. As low level fuels dry, be

touchdown as the Giants took advantage
of a Redskins turnover to make it 24-17

Frank Beamer also got some
bad news today, learning that backup
freshman tight end Chris Drager is lost
for the season with a torn ACL suffered
yesterday against William and Mary.

Add to that the fact that
Tech is about to jump into the meat of
the ACC schedule with 8 straight
conference games to close the season,

ABC Sports The monster reared its ugly head :00 for Kevin Harvick who had a loose
lugnut and finished in the back of the
pack.

Tire issues were a problem for
points leader Jimmie Johnson as well.

JJ went two laps down following a flat,
and is now 4th in points.

Chaser Denny Hamlin didn't
endear himself to Kyle Petty today,
plowing into the back of the 45 on the
straightaway to bring out the caution
and sending Petty for a ride on the
merry go round. Then in the garage,
Petty, the elder statesmen had some
choice words for Hamlin the young buck.

Matt Kenseth led 191 laps, but
dropped a cylinder and then blew up
inside of 30 laps to go.

The red flag flew for this
melee with under 10 to go, and the race
was stopped for nearly 15 minutes.

In the end, Carl Edwards had
enough juice to win the race to the
checkered flag and move to third in
points, but his car failed the postrace
inspection. Penalties are expected,
though he will retain the win, giving
credit where credit is due.

Africa But in South Africa it's not the

bloods or the crypts -- it's the
baboons causing trouble.

You heard right.

Baboons are being blamed for
countless acts of burglaries, thefts
and vandalism.

The protected animals have been
breaking into houses and parked cars.

They know how to open doors and
windows and they know how to go
straight for the refigerator.

Police say there's nothing they
can do about it.
