federal judge has placed special

He'll have to be home between 10
p.m. and 6 a.m. and will have to submit
to random drug testing until his
sentencing in December for his part in
a dogfighting ring.

September 13, according to a report
filed by a federal probation officer
that was entered yesterday in federal
court.

Road bridge on Interstate 581 was hit.


Now the necessary repairs are
under way.

headed south slammed into the overpass.


It didn't cause any serious
damage but there was plenty of concern
in light of the recent bridge collapse
in Minneapolis.

V-Dot crews are fixing the steel
cables inside the bridge that were
damaged during the recent accident.


They're also replacing some of the
concrete on the beam of the bridge.


This isn't the first time the Liberty
Road overpass has needed repairs.


In fact, the bridge has been hit six
times in the last five years.


As a result, the bridge is considered
structurally deficient.


Even so, V-Dot insists the bridge is
safe but admits it will eventually need
long term repairs.


However, that's easier said than

new kennel on 61 acres he owns in the


White Gate community.


Tuesday night, the Giles County
planning commission recommended the
board of supervisors deny his special
exception request.


Schmucker (SCHMYOO-KER) told
administrators he wants to move to be
closer to other Amish families.


This past March, one of
Schmucker's Dogwood Kennels burned and
about 200 dogs died.


More than 4-thousand people
signed an online petition against the

County.

identifying, was driving on Highland
Road around 3:00 yesterday, when she


saw the driver of this car, lose
control, hit an embankment and flip
over on its top.


She ran to a nearby house to get
help and when she came back her car was
stolen.


Police found the vehicle, 7 hours
later in a field in Radford.


And they believe they've found
the thief.
