Monday night, a number of people asked
why they were there.
That's when the un-named officers
told them there'd been a bomb threat at
the Maier Museum ... something that
just wasn't true.

about a teenager killed in an accident

old, a junior at Eastern Montgomery
High School.
Her family says she was coming
home from school yesterday with her
boyfriend when they wrecked on Willis
Hollow Road near Shawsville - the road

reconstructing the accident scene.
Police say the 17 year-old driver
lost control of his truck, and the
vehicle flipped onto its side.

Center. We've seen low stratus clouds
and fog the last couple of mornings,
and that's a trend likely to continue
for the rest of the week as a light
east to southeasterly flow comes our
way. The sky forecast is one of
"variably cloudy" conditions as
sunshine should play peek-a-boo with
the clouds by the late morning hours.
As some moisture gets banked up near
the Blue Ridge, don't rule out the
chance of some drizzle or a passing
light shower Thursday or Friday. The
current pattern may break by the
weekend with mostly to partly sunny

critical condition after a four-vehicle
wreck on Route 460 this morning.

76-year-old Donald P. Brooks Senior
was crossing over the westbound lanes
when his car was struck broadside by
another vehicle.
The impact sent both cars into the
eastbound lanes where they struck
another car and a flatbed tractor
trailer.
Those lanes were blocked for more
than an hour as police worked the
accident.
Charges are pending.

weekend when they travel to Clemson.
Head coach Frank Beamer announced
this afternoon that Whitaker is taking
the rest of this week after not
practicing either Monday of Tuesday.
