The latest victims are both
students at Natural Bridge Elementary.
There was some concern from
parents that the school waited to long
to notify them, but the school says
when they first got wind that a student
was sick during the early part of last
week, it was not a confirmed MRSA case.
That however changeD by Friday and

The fire on Stone Mountain Road
was so large.. fire crews spotted it
from their station in Moneta this
afternoon around one.
Fire had consumed a van and a
pile of junk and was spreading into the
treeline when they arrived.
Firefighters spent about a half
hour getting it contained and another
hour hosing down the rest of the area.
The cause is under investigation,
but the landowner says it's possible a
spark from a cutting torch may have
smoldered and started the fire.

Last Week People magazine's Web site reports
OQ=...EXTREMELY IMPORTANT RECRUITING <
TOOLS." the stands at Lane Stadium this season
you've gotten your money's worth in the
DISSOLVE BACK TO MIKE !!! pregame alone - thanks in part to the
efforts of Col. Rock Roazak.
(END SOT) The Associate Director of Alumni
Relations for the Corps of Cadets is
responsible for doing the behind the
scenes leg work that made three
flyovers featuring three very different
types of aircraft a reality in
September.
COL. ROCK ROSZAK
Most of those units who seek out
Tech - are full of Tech alums - and
that makes the the flyover twice as
special.
COL. ROCK ROSZAK
It's really special when the
aircraft hits just at the right time -
the end of the national anthem.
To help coordinate that - an
advance team - in direct radio contact
with the pilot is positioned on top of
Lane Stadium.
COL. ROCK ROSZAK
While it may seem a bit strange
to have this many flyovers in war time,
Col. Roszak says not so.
Not all of the nation's aricraft is
deployed in the war zone, and the Air
Force sees these type of events as
extremely important recruiting tools.
