A long-running study reports that
people who are conscientious appear to
be less likely to develop the
brain-wasting condition.
Those that described themselves as
self-disciplined and goal-directed had
an 89-percent lower risk of developing
the disorder and had a slower rate of
cognitive decline and impairment.
Researchers have no idea why but
theorize it's because conscientious
people tend to be more resilient,

those rewards could be an increased

A long-running study reports that
people who are conscientious appear to
be less likely to develop the
brain-wasting condition.
Those that described themselves as
self-disciplined and goal-directed had
an 89-percent lower risk of developing
the disorder and had a slower rate of
cognitive decline and impairment.
Researchers have no idea why but
theorize it's because conscientious
people tend to be more resilient,
making them better able to cope with
difficulties.
(wipevo)
Changing its standard procedure, the
Food and Drug Administration plans to
speed review of cheaper versions of
brand-name drugs.
Officials said the push includes an
expedited review process using an
updated format and team reviews of
multiple applications for the same
product.
The F-D-A approved a record 682 generic
drugs last year and faces a backlog of
13-hundred applications, up from about
800 about a year ago.
(wipevo)
Inspections have found the rate of
stores illegally selling cigarettes to
underage youth dropped to just over
10-percent last year.
That is the lowest rate since states
started conducting the stings a decade
ago.
For the first time in history, every
state had a violation rate of less than

morning. After a foggy start, a large
COMM ridge will slowly move to the south,
pumping in a warm south/southwest wind,
which will set the stage for more
record warmth. Highs Monday and Tuesday
are forecast near 90. A strong cold
front enters the area late Tuesday into
Wednesday. While the front won't bring
much needed rain, it will begin to
knock our temperatures out of record
territory. Highs Wednesday are forecast
around the low to mid 80s. Sharply
cooler temperatures are forecast by
Thursday and Friday (highs in the 60s)
as an upper level low develops close to
the Great Lakes. A few showers may fall
just to the west of the Roanoke Valley,
but generally the next week will stay
dry. Have a great week!
