This community is trying to understand
WHY a 20 year old sheriff's deputy

opened fire on a group of young

jealous rage drove the gunman to kill
six

ABC Sports Early in the race, Greg Biffle :00 gets a shove
from Juan Pablo Montoya, but Biffle
does a great job to avoid a big wreck.

Engine failures were a big
story in this one.

First, Jeff Burton blew up, just
about ending his shot at the
Championship.

Then Martin Truex, Jr. went up
in smoke as he lost some serious ground
in the points race.

With 43 laps to go, Bobby
Labonte got loose, hit Kyle Busch and
then Robby Gordon, and the fun was on

from there.

10 cars were tangled and mangled,
including those of chasers Kurt Busch
and Matt Kenseth.

In the end, Jeff Gordon was
out front when it counted.

He took the checkered flag,
beating his teammate Jimmie Johnson and
Dave Blaney for his 5th win of the
season, and his first since June at
Pocono.

Gordon now owns the points lead
as well.
