looked at almost 1-thousand cases and

serious injuries occurred less than one

experts still question the safety of
tasers.
In recent years there's been a growing
number of reports of people dying after
getting hit with the electricity. :11

When the 5 men and 6 .women reached
the service exit -- where CCTV footage
captured the last images of the lovers
arm in arm -- they stood silent.

The monster specimen taking the
top prize came in at one-thousand
five-hundred and 24 pounds.
Thad Starr hauled the
orange-giant from Oregon.
He will receive six-dollars per
pound, bringing his winnings to
nine-thousand one-hundred 44-dollars.
Starr says growing giant pumpkins
is not about skill, it's about what
weather deals you.

Forecast Center. A large, strong ridge
of high pressure has prompted the
return of summer-like weather. Record
highs were set in Roanoke, Danville,
Blacksburg and Bluefield yesterday
afternoon. This same high pressure will
provide another sweltering afternoon
today, with some record highs being
challenged. A strong cold front enters
the area later today into Wednesday.
We're not anticipating much more than a
few isolated showers and storms as it
passes through. The winds will also
increase a bit. The main story with
this front will be sharply cooler
temperatures by Thursday and Friday.
Highs will barely make it into the
upper 60s to near 70. We'll also
monitor and upper level low coming out
of the Great Lakes by the end of the
week. This may provide another
opportunity for showers in the western
mountains....TUESDAY: Sun and clouds.
High: 91 ...TUESDAY NIGHT: Increasing
clouds. Isolated shower and storms.

recycle 100 tons of electronics
statewide... that's 200-thousand pounds
of old computers, televisions, cell
phones and other out-dated electronic
devices.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
have been set aside businesses and
schools to unload their ewaste at
Hollins University, Virignia Tech,
University of Richmond or ODU.
On Saturday, the general public
is invited to do the same.

responsible for doing the behind the
scenes leg work that made three
flyovers featuring three very different
types of aircraft a reality in
September.

Tech - are full of Tech alums - and
that makes the the flyover twice as
special.

It's really special when the
aircraft hits just at the right time -
the end of the national anthem.
To help coordinate that - an
advance team - in direct radio contact
with the pilot is positioned on top of
Lane Stadium.

While it may seem a bit strange
to have this many flyovers in war time,
Col. Roszak says not so.
Not all of the nation's aricraft is
deployed in the war zone, and the Air
Force sees these type of events as
extremely important recruiting tools.
