students in Bedford County- after a day
off while cleaning crews sanitized the
buildings.
The cleaning came after a student
died earlier this week following what
is believed to be a MRSA infection.

According to the school district,
they're pleased with how today turned
out.
They said overall attendace was
good.

Here at the high school, on an
average day attendance is usally about
94 to 96 percent.
Today, however, on the the first
day back, attendance decreased
slightly to about 88%.
Bedford County Schools tells us
that means about 145 students were
absent from Staunton River High.
Now, we also spoke with students.
While the majority of them did go
back to school.
There were some who just didn't
feel comfortable returning just yet.
And made the decision to stay
home.

thing that makes schools different is

that's why he stresses personal
hygiene.

a drought advisory to people living
there.

citizens to cut back on their water use
for the time being.
Lynchburg is now relying on the
James River for 90 percent of its daily

Midwest.. At least two people are
reported dead after a possible tornado
crossed northeastern Missouri early
this mroning.
Police say the couple was inside
a trailer when the storm hit.
Their bodies were found 400 feet
from where the mobile home was found.

Robin Reed in the SkyTracker 7 Forecast
Center. We're now in what we call the
"warm sector" with a warm front to the
north of the area and a cool front to
our west. Overnight lows are forecast
in the lower 60s, and highs Friday are
expected to get close to 80 before the
cool front crosses the area. Mostly
cloudy skies are forecast tonight, with
most areas staying dry. Friday will
start ith variably cloudy skies, but as
the front to our west runs into our
warm and somewhat unstable air, showers
and thunderstorms will develop. The
best chance to see rain will be in the
early afternoon through the evening.
Most areas will only see around 0.25"
of rain, although any thunderstorm
could produce higher amounts. Some
storms may be on the strong side,
especially in the Piedmont. Friday
Football Extra games should get
underway around 7:00p.m. with mostly
cloudy skies. Most of the rain by that
point will be to our east. Temperatures
will be cooler Friday night in the mid

But the Leaning Tower of Jackson
County?

With a little help from a
bulldozer, the Leaning Tower of Jackson
County Kentucky--- is no more.
Demolition crews pulled down the
empty water-tower earlier this week.
It was supposed to be a new
water-tower for the community, but it
was resting on unstable soil.
Officials say it had been sinking
into the ground for about a month.
