Turman specialized in the 200 & 400

individual medley and the 200-butterfly
-winning local and national honors.

After graduating from Cave Spring in
1985 - those honors led him to sign a
letter of intent to swim at Virginia
Tech.

There - he still holds a pool record in
the 400 individual medley from 1986.

regionally he took the sport to another

much as he did.
