Center. Skies will stay mostly clear
overnight with lows falling to the mid
40s across the Greater Roanoke Valley.
Outlying areas are forecast in the low
40s by early Monday morning. Wind will
be light from the south. Monday starts
off on a sunny note, however, high
clouds will stream in from the west
throughout the afternoon. Highs are
forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
Our next storm system is taking shape
across the southern Plains. This will
bring us an extended period of shower
chances for the upcoming week. Most of
us will stay dry through Monday, but by
Monday night and Tuesday low pressure
will be cut off from the main steering
currents around the lower Mississippi
River Valley. This low, with a front in
our neighborhood, will bring clouds and
occasional showers Tuesday through
Thursday morning. Temperatures will
range from the 60s to 70s during this
time. We should dry out throughout the
day on Friday. Next weekend is looking
mostly sunny with highs in the low to
mid 60s.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Light south
breeze. Low: 48
MONDAY: Sunny morning. High clouds
returning. High: 76

the first 108 laps of the race in the
DuPont Chevy easily negotiatiing the
lapped traffic he had to work through.
As always the tight paper clip

cautions. The yellow waved a record 21

handful of drivers who cut down a front
tire and had no other choice but to
head straight into the outside wall.
Dale Junior complained about an
ill-handling car all day long and took
some of his frustrations out on Juan
