plane crash is in, and strong
crosswinds are to blame.

October A father, Melvin Yoder, and two

the accident earlier this month.
They were flying from Georgia
into the Twin County Airport to see
family.
According to the preliminarily
report from the National Transportation
Safety Board - the pilot Richard Yoder
was trying to land the plane - when a
strong crosswind made him lose control.
FAA inspectors said the plane
came to rest nose down in heavy brush.
One of the wings was sheared off
and lying against the

The Yoders are out of the
hospital, and they're DRIVING back to
Georgia this Saturday.

County man leads police to Tennessee..

VO-NAT That's where a hunter found Doug
Grabowski's skeletal remains in
Sullivan County-- which is not far from
Bristol.
Sheriff's authorities there say
evidence indicates the remains may have
been there for up to a year and a half-
DNA testing confirmed the remains were
Grabowskis.
Police say a handgun was found
near his body-
but so far his black 1977 pickup-
wallet and keys have not been found.
Police are treating this as a
homicide and hope they can find that
missing piece of information.

big mouth exhibit.
This sets the stage for the new
"Health Bodies" Gallery that will open
in 2008. There are two more galleries
to follow..."Healthy Earth"...and "How
it Works".
The museum's executive director
says it was time to make some

haven't changed in 10 to 15 years.

chosen to start a total renovation of
the building and its collection.
When this ceiling collapsed in the
Old Courthouse Museum seven years ago,
the front doors closed but a window of
opportunity was opened.

stabilizing and modernizing the
building.
Now it's time to move back in ...
the old Bragassa Toy Store on 12th
Street has been the temporary home for
some artifacts since 2002 ... that will
close for good this Sunday.
New exhibits containing some of the
museum's 20-thousand artifacts are now
being constructed ... focusing on every
era of Hill City history, each with
something for residents and tourists
alike to enjoy.
