of a Roanoke County man- missing for
more than two years.
Skeletal remains found in Tennessee
are those of Doug Grabowski--
He is the 35 year old Cave Spring
and Roanoke College Grad who was last
seen Mother's Day 2005.

VO-NAT Today the Sullivan County Sheriff's
Office not far from Bristol
Tennessee... said the remains were
found in the woods almost a year ago--
but it wasn't until today that
authorities identified the remains as
Grabowski
The Sheriff says a handgun was found
near Grabowski's body- and they say
there' s a good possibility there was
foul play. Investigators continue
searching for Grabowski's black 1977
Ford pickup that has still not been
found.

joined the A-C-C the university agreed
to only host one Thursday night game a
year.
Fans love the night games but from an
operational standpoint, it creates a
nightmare.
Students have to move their cars out
of the lots early, portable lights have
to be brought in for the bus stops, and
you often have more arrests at a night
game because fans have been drinking
for several hours.

looking better in the battle against
Southern California wildfires.
Temperatures and winds have
diminished. Today President Bush
toured the area to thank firefighters
for their efforts and promise that the
federal government will do its share to
help thousands of people who have lost
their homes.

October A father, Melvin Yoder, and two
:00 of his sons, Richard and Wade, survived
the crash earlier this month.
They were flying from Georgia
into the Twin County Airport to see
family.
According to the preliminarily
report from the National Transportation
Safety Board - the pilot Richard Yoder
was trying to land the plane - when a
strong crosswind made him lose control.
He said nothing was wrong with
the plane.
Another brother - NOT involved in
the crash - saw it happen and said he
heard the engine power up and saw the
plane begin to climb again.
FAA inspectors confirmed that
and said the plane came to rest nose
down in heavy brush.
One of the wings was sheared off
and lying against the fuselage.

ANCHOR ON CAM A warning for parents in Pulaski

Police say an eight year old girl
was almost abducted in broad daylight
yesterday.
It happened around 3:15 in the
afternoon on Randolph Avenue between
10th and 11th streets.
The victim says a black male in
his 20's, wearing a blue T shirt and
black pants asked her if she wanted a
ride.
When the 8 year old said no the
suspect grabbed her by the arm and put
his hand over her mouth.
Apparently a Pulaski police
officer was patrolling nearby and the
suspect left.
He was driving a red mustang with
flames on the driver's side door.

that was sitting in a tree in Roanoke
County has disappeared.

Yesterday The property owner on Bradshaw
Road reported today that the bear was
not in the tree when she checked this
morning.
Local animal control officials
had been watching the animal in hopes
it would come down on its own.
They say it's not all that
unusual that a bear would be spotted
during hunting season in Mason's
Cove... which is not far from the
Havens Wildlife area.
Marty Bryant says it's the first
time she's seen a bear in her front
yard.

tropics is providing the rainfall over
the next 24hours. Look for periods of
rain, some moderate to heavy, with cool
temperature through the remainder of
the workweek. A cut-off low and front
will begin to push out the rain during
the day Saturday (latest models show
around lunchtime). An additional 1 to 3
inches of rain is possible from now
through early Saturday. This may cause
some streams to reach bankfull, and
produce ponding of water along roads.
Use extra caution when driving at

Dakota skyline this morning, but what
it was is still not known.

The first clip of video was taken at
8:00 AM from a television station's
outdoor camera.
You can clearly see the object leaving
two vapor trails behind in the sky as
it drifts toward the southern horizon.
It's not known if it is a plane, a
meteorite, or something else.
